It's Been a While...

To my utter disappointment, I did exactly what I said I was not going to do... I abandoned my blog! But the good news is I'm back in full force and with one of my New Year's Resolutions complete! Most or you that are reading this know that I am currently on a Mission Trip in Pucallpa, Peru. I was originally assigned to be a teacher, but upon arriving, the training I'm receiving is actually to be a nurse =) but how does this tie into my list of goals?? No need to look further than number 11 on my list. Spice. It. Up. And friends I have done this in multiple ways. For one: I have adjusted to my new average room temperature of 90 degrees with 1000% humidity. Ok, its not exactly 1000, but in short, it's spicy over here. Second, I have completely uprooted my life in a way that at the start of this blog I would have never imagined. I have left behind my home, my school, my boyfriend, my family, my comfortable bed, and my comfort zone. I am in a place that I am only beginning to know after my two weeks of being here. I have learned so much (details to come) and am completely excited to see how listening to that small still voice that said "just go" will impact my life. I for one can't wait to find out and if you're the least bit curious. Check in every once in a while. Let's ride this unbelievable journey out together =)
